Hyder Family Hospice House is now open
In
March 2007, Seacoast Hospice realized a long-time goal and opened
the doors of its newly built inpatient hospice facility, the Hyder
Family Hospice House. It is the newest and largest hospice house
in New Hampshire. To date, we have provided care at the hospice
house for well over 100 patients and their families.
Seacoast Hospice would like to acknowledge the generous support
of the community who helped us reach our goal.

and only independent, non-profit hospice in New Hampshire and
provides compassionate and expert medical care to children, adults,
seniors, and families coping with life-limiting illnesses.
Its team of physicians, registered nurses, licensed nursing assistants,
social workers, bereavement coordinators, and trained volunteers
collaborate to provide extensive services for patients in their
own homes, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, hospitals,
and at Seacoast Hospice's Hyder Family Hospice House in Dover,
New Hampshire. Seacoast Hospice relies on private and corporate
funding to provide its services to everyone - regardless of ability
to pay.
Wal-Mart believes in a philosophy of operating globally and giving
back locally. In 2006, Wal-Mart Stores and Sam's Club gave $1,376,182

in the communities they serve in the state of New Hampshire. Through
additional funds raised through stores and Clubs throughout the
state, Wal-Mart contributed and raised a grand total of $2,227,989
