Hospice Giving Frequently Asked Questions

The Hospice Fund

"Thank you for everything you did to make our dad's last days so wonderful. Your caring ways and kind words were very special to him and his family. We don't know how we all would have got through this without each and every one of you!"

Why is The Hospice Fund important to Seacoast Hospice?

Our ability to provide care to everyone, regardless of age or ability to pay, is made possible through generous donations and gifts from our community.

How will my gift be used?

  • Supports The Hyder Family Hospice House which opened in March 2007 and serves over 250 patients a year
  • Supports our ability to provide Bridges, a program for grieving children as well as bereavement services for families and caregivers after the death of a loved one.
  • Funds 20 community support groups a year attended by over 200 people at no cost to them
  • Helps over 800 people of all ages receive professional care as well as pain medications, hospital beds, oxygen, and medical equipment
  • Helps provide training for volunteers, helping us care for thousands of patients and their caregivers
  • Helps provide services for patients without insurance or are not able to provide fully for care.

Can I make my gift in memory of a loved one?

Yes, you may make your gift in memory or in honor of a loved one.

Will my gift really make a difference?

Absolutely. Participation is vital and every gift counts, regardless of size.
